Creator Agreement

Publishing requires an active creator tier — Basic or Pro. Both are billed yearly and renew annually until canceled. If your tier lapses, cancels, or fails to renew, your published listings revert to draft and are hidden from the marketplace until billing is restored. Current pricing and revenue shares are shown on the plans page.

You keep ownership of your work. You grant The Parent Exchange a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, watermark, preview, market, and distribute your files to buyers, and to display excerpts for promotion of the marketplace. Two kinds of material carry different warranties, and both are covered by the rights attestation you sign in the upload flow.

The file a buyer downloads — a PDF, ZIP, editable template, audio recording, or video — must be your own work. For every resource you publish you warrant that:

• you created it, or you hold documented, transferable rights to sell it commercially;
• it contains substantial human-created content — the text, structure, layout, teaching content, narration, or footage are authored or materially edited and arranged by you;
• you hold commercial-use rights to every embedded font, clip art set, photo, music bed, voice recording, or third-party asset inside the file;
• it is not a purely AI-generated file, a scraped file, or a resold third-party file. Resources generated end-to-end by an AI tool with no meaningful human authorship may not be listed, because they may not be protectable by copyright and you cannot warrant ownership of them;
• where you used an AI tool as a drafting aid, you disclose that in the upload flow and you remain fully responsible for the finished file, including any third-party material the tool reproduced;
• the preview pages, sample images, and audio or video teasers we generate automatically from your uploaded file may be shown publicly as part of your listing.

Cover images, thumbnails, and storefront banners are marketing material, not the product. You may upload your own artwork, or use the built-in design studio, which is the only place on The Parent Exchange where AI-generated imagery is permitted — and only for covers and storefront banners, never for the resource itself.

When you use the design studio you agree that:

• drafting is only available once your resource file is attached, and real sample pages from that file are used as references so the cover reflects what buyers download;
• nothing is applied to a listing until you tick the review confirmation and accept the draft — you are the publisher of the artwork you approve;
• drafts are limited by a monthly allowance for your tier, and any extra draft packs you buy are non-refundable;
• generated artwork may not be protected by copyright, so we grant no exclusivity over it and similar artwork may appear elsewhere.

For all artwork, however it was made, you warrant that:

• you hold the rights to every image, mockup, font, and interior page used in it;
• it does not copy a recognisable brand, character, logo, watermark, or another creator's cover;
• it accurately represents the resource for sale — pages or scenes shown must match the file buyers receive, and audio or video covers must not imply content the file does not contain;
• it passes our automated image review; flagged covers stay unpublished until a human review clears them.

You are responsible for the artwork you publish, including any infringement claim it attracts, and you agree to indemnify The Parent Exchange against such claims. Using the design studio never satisfies the human-authorship requirement in section 2a for the downloadable resource itself.

Unless your listing states otherwise, each purchase grants the buyer a personal, non-transferable license to download, print, and use the resource within their own household or classroom, including editing editable files for their own use. Buyers may not resell, redistribute, or publish your files. Buyers retain access to files they have purchased, including after your tier ends.

• Titles, descriptions, previews, and categories must accurately describe the file.
• Editable listings must clearly state which editable file type or online template link is included.
• Audio and video listings must state the real runtime, and the teaser must come from the resource itself.
• No infringing, hateful, harmful, adult, or medically misleading content.
• No misleading pricing, keyword stuffing, or fake reviews.
• You set your own prices; free listings are allowed, except for audio and video, which carry a minimum price.

Your revenue share and per-resource fees are determined by your tier at the time of each sale, as described on the plans page and in the Terms of Service. Payouts are made through Stripe to the payout account you connect in your dashboard, and your share is transferred automatically after each successful sale. You are responsible for keeping your payout and tax details accurate. Refunded or disputed sales reverse the corresponding creator share.

Sales tax, VAT, and GST are calculated and collected at checkout by Stripe based on the buyer's location and the resource's tax classification, and are not part of your earnings. You are responsible for your own income tax reporting on the payouts you receive.

We respond to copyright notices under our Copyright & DMCA Policy. Repeated valid complaints result in removal of listings and possible termination.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy. You agree to respond to reasonable buyer questions about files you sell.

You are an independent seller, not an employee, agent, or partner of The Parent Exchange. You decide what you create, how you price it, and when you sell it.

You may unpublish your listings or stop selling at any time; buyers keep access to past purchases. We may remove listings or suspend accounts that violate this agreement, and may hold payouts while investigating fraud, chargebacks, or infringement.

We may update this agreement. Continuing to sell after an update means you accept the revised terms.
